NEI Expands Manufacturing Footprint in Europe

NEI has announced its expansion of European manufacturing and support capabilities with a new support center in Galway, Ireland. The Galway location is a technology support center and manufacturing facility that will enable NEI to more efficiently meet worldwide demand for its products. NEI has long been a provider of application platforms, appliances and lifecycle support services for software developers, OEMs and worldwide service providers.

Now NEI will be able to deliver comprehensive global logistics, as well as offer technology support services to customers serving markets abroad. Greg Shortell, CEO of NEI, says the Ireland facility is part of the company’s growth strategy and expansion into Europe.

Shortell believes that by building a presence in Europe, NEI will be reducing time and trans-Atlantic delays associated with shipping products and handling evaluation units. This, in return, will provide better support, maintenance and repairs for its European customers.

The expansion into Europe will give NEI greater in-territory control over order fulfillment, inventory flow, supply chain management and regulatory certifications. Furthermore, it affords NEI a competitive advantage when quoting new business opportunities and fine tuning support services for its multi-national customers.

NEI recognizes key business challenges such as risk management and business continuity and overcomes them by utilizing global resources and having multiple production sites. The new Galway facility has the same capabilities, processes and services as those of its U.S.-based facilities located in Canton, Massachusetts and Plano, Texas.

NEI believes that by bringing their high-quality manufacturing processes, logistics and global support services to the international marketplace, they will better help their customers abroad to succeed.

Founded in 1997 in Canton, Massachusetts, NEI has a comprehensive suite of services that include solution design, integration control, support and many other service capabilities. NEI has long enabled customers to more efficiently deploy, manage, service, support their solutions, and continues to do so today.
