UK Holiday Decorations Importer Selects HighJump Software to Sustain Continuous Process Improvement and Optimization
HighJump Warehouse Management System Chosen for Low Total Cost of Ownership, Adaptability and Value-Added Support Offerings
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (March 18, 2008) – HighJump Software, a 3M company today announced that Premier Decorations Limited, the UK’s leading importer of Christmas decorations, summer and Halloween products, has selected the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) for its UK distribution warehouse in Wrexham.
“We started the search for a new warehouse management system in March 2007 after deciding we could find a more cost-effective alternative to our 3PL WMS contract,” said Ron Athwal, logistics operations manager, Premier Decorations. “We wanted a system that could meet and build upon the performance parameters expected in our state-of-the-art warehouse and logistics facility. During our evaluation process, the HighJump WMS emerged as a clear winner for low total cost of ownership over its lifetime. 3M’s stability was also important, as was its long-standing commitment to Microsoft technologies to help ensure consistency throughout our supply chain.”
Premier Decorations sells directly to retailers across a variety of segments. These include department stores, wholesalers, ‘do-it-yourself’ stores, garden centers and small shops, as well as mail order companies and specialty outlets in the UK. The 265,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Wrexham stocks more than 8,500 SKUs.

To help ensure quality customer service, the HighJump system will integrate with an advanced voice-directed system currently in place at Premier’s facility for order selection and replenishment.
