Companies from Countries across the Middle East Choose Epicor 9 Next-Generation Enterprise Resource Planning Solution

IRVINE, Calif. (May 12, 2009) – Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a
leading provider of enterprise business software for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000
companies, is seeing increased momentum in the Middle East for its next-generation enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solution, Epicor 9, with a series of new customer wins since launching
the solution in the region in December 2008.
Midmarket companies from countries across the Middle East, including Bahrain, UAE,
Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, are choosing Epicor’s latest ERP software offering to streamline
business operations. Leading blue-chip manufacturing companies such as Havelock AHI,
Mabani Steel, Knightsbridge Chemicals Limited, Automech Group, Petra Engineering, Rawabi
Marketing International and Tetra Infotech have adopted Epicor’s next-generation ERP solution;
utilizing Web 2.0 concepts to provide users with a truly collaborative and dynamic enterprise
business application experience virtually putting “ERP everywhere” for these companies.
Epicor raises technology to a level that delivers unprecedented business management
and supports continuous performance improvement through real-time, in-context business
insight. At the core of the Epicor solution is an adaptable and collaborative business architecture
that satisfies the needs of any enterprise regardless of country, industry, or access device,
enabling business anywhere — business without barriers.
The backbone of Epicor’s next-generation ERP solutions, Epicor ICE, fuses modern
Web 2.0 technologies with Epicor True SOA(TM) to deliver an enabling business architecture that
offers new levels of flexibility, usability, and agility in support of application-to-application
integration and business-to-business collaboration.
“While the overall economic environment remains challenging, the response to Epicor 9
has been exceptional and very much in line with our initial expectations,” said Jim Bork, Epicor’s senior vice president of worldwide sales. “Epicor clients have realized the benefits of our
second-generation service-oriented architecture and Epicor Internet Component Environment
(ICE) 2.0. Epicor 9 is designed to complement growing enterprises, and when we look at this
new list of customers it is evident that we are hitting the sweet spot for midmarket enterprises.”
To further its goals, Epicor has kick-started roadshows keeping specific target audiences
in mind. In a phased manner, Epicor is showcasing Epicor 9 to its existing customers and
‘prospective’ customers. The company has recently concluded roadshows in Cairo, Riyadh,
Jeddah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. “Clients have responded to our roadshows in a very positive
way. More than 200 customers have witnessed the benefits of Epicor 9 and the number is
growing,” Bork said.
Khalil Turki, vice president, RMI said, “With its extensive features and functionality,
Epicor was the obvious choice for RMI and we are confident that this partnership will enhance
our service capabilities and provide us a competitive edge with Epicor’s next generation ERP
solutions.”
Dilavar Shah, Managing Director, Tetra Infotech L.L.C said, “Before we became aware
of Epicor’s offering we evaluated many other products, none of which fulfilled our vigorous
requirements. Epicor 9 was the perfect fit, built on a service- oriented architecture with
embedded Business Process Management, customizable dashboards and Business
Intelligence system. Another important part of our decision process was the professionalism of
Epicor’s partners, who clearly stood out from any other service provider in the region.”
